Clear aligners move your teeth into the correct position without being noticeable to the people around you. Our treatment consists of a set of clear aligners precisely adapted to your teeth that slowly move the teeth in the right direction. You wear the aligner for 22 hours a day and swap it for a new aligner with a new correction every two weeks. People around you will barely notice the aligners and the aligners can be taken out for eating and drinking at any time.
All of our appointments are free. After your first appointment, you pay CHF 99 for the creation of your treatment plan. If you decide to continue with the treatment plan, the CHF 99 fee is credited to the total amount. If a correction of your tooth position is not possible, you will get your money back.
Our team accompanies you throughout the treatment. You can contact us at any time and we’ll reply as quickly as possible via email, WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook. If problems occur during treatment, our dentist will examine you and determine any actions that may be required. You’ll find our contact information here.
You can pay us at the practice with a credit card or EC card or we can send you a bill. Thanks to our partner company, the aligners are affordable even on a small budget. If you would prefer to pay for the treatment in instalments, you can pay as little as CHF 95 per month. In this case, you can agree to an instalment plan with our partner company MF Group.
Whether or not your health insurance provider will pay for aligner therapy varies widely depending on the policy: every health insurance provider handles dental corrections differently. Some supplemental dental insurance policies do pay the costs for our treatment. It’s best to check directly with your health insurance provider. If you do have supplemental dental cover, you can request a detailed receipt and send it to your insurance company.
We offer flat fees: CHF 1990.- for one jaw (upper or lower) or CHF 2990.- for both jaws at the same time. These prices may increase depending on the additional services requested by the patient. (If attachments are necessary, CHF 500 per jaw.) You pay a one-time CHF 99 fee for your individual treatment plan, but this amount will be deducted from the total amount if you decide to proceed with treatment.
You can also pay for the treatment in monthly instalments. Prices start at just CHF 95/month. No matter how many aligners or treatment appointments you need, the price stays the same. With us, you pay only for the aligner – no dental services are charged to you.
With us, you can skip the tiresome consultations at the dental practice because we handle all of the dentist’s processes in-house (from production to treatment). This leaves you more time and saves you expensive dental appointments. With us, you’ll have just two appointments, in which our dentist will examine you and determine whether you are a candidate for the treatment. In contrast to our competition, your aligner will be produced in Switzerland rather than abroad.

Contact us immediately so that we can deliver a replacement aligner. No worries: it’s all at no cost to you.
You can clean your aligner with cold, running water. You can also use a normal toothbrush with a bit of white toothpaste. In more stubborn cases, you can also add special cleaning tablets to the water to eliminate all impurities. But if you’re not sure, contact us about it beforehand: +41 (0)44 279 70 70 / [email protected].
No problem – sporting activities don’t affect the treatment. But they do not replace the mouthguards required in sports like boxing and ice hockey.
We recommend that you take the aligner out when you smoke. Smoking can cause discolouration or weakening of the aligner.
There are no forbidden foods. You can go about your life just as normal. Simply remove your aligner before eating or drinking so that you won’t damage it. Otherwise everything’s allowed.
We recommend that you don’t do that. Chewing gum can stick to the aligner and damage it.
Of course. Simply remove the aligner before eating or drinking and place it in the provided box. While wearing the aligner, you should avoid consuming food or sweetened, acidic and alcoholic drinks as they can compromise the shape of the aligner. Normal water and unsweetened and cold drinks are no problem – with or without the aligner.
In the first phase of the treatment, you may notice it while talking and speak with a slight lisp. Your teeth and tongue have to get used to the foreign object. But that goes away in just a few days and is usually not even noticeable.
Treatment with the clear aligner is not painful. You’ll feel a gentle pressure on your teeth, but that is absolutely normal. The aligners are working to move your teeth into the right position, and that requires exerting a bit of pressure. The pressure subsides after three to four days and you won’t feel the aligner after that.
Our aligners are completely transparent and therefore almost invisible. Even when someone takes a close look, it’s difficult to see that you’re wearing an aligner.
You can stop by our practice and see for yourself. Our locations and contact information are found here.
In our experience, almost all customers are satisfied with the results. But even in spite of our Swiss-made quality standards, we can’t 100% guarantee that the results will match the prognosis in all cases.
If you’re unsatisfied with the results after completing the treatment with clear aligners, you’re welcome to contact us at any time. We will then assess your case together, potentially produce further aligners and find a solution to ensure that you’re satisfied with your smile.
No. In addition to your aligners, you will receive a retainer. The retainer only needs to be worn at night. The retainer helps maintain your new tooth position and ensures that your teeth will not re-shift. We recommend that you wear your retainer every night for the first six months after finishing the treatment. After that, it’s enough to wear your retainer three nights a week. The retainer has the same shape as the last aligner in your treatment, but is a bit thicker to ensure that it retains its shape over a longer period of time.
Yes, crooked teeth and gaps can be corrected with our clear aligners. The important thing for all corrections is that you wear the aligner for 22 hours a day.
It’s simple: you wear the clear aligner for 22 hours a day. Every two weeks, you swap to a new aligner. Your teeth shift little by little as you go.
After the scan that takes place during your FREE appointment at our practice, we create a 3D animation. The animation allows you to see the individual steps.
We recommend that our customers wear the clear aligner as often as possible. Only then do your teeth have enough time to move into the desired position. You can simply take out the aligner to eat, drink sweet beverages and brush your teeth.
On average, treatment with clear aligners from bestsmile takes between three and 12 months. The more complex the case, the longer the treatment takes. The more often you wear the clear aligner, the higher the probability that we will be able to complete the correction within the discussed treatment period.
It’s best to let us know. We understand that sometimes things happen and it’s not possible to arrive at the practice on time. We may still be able to treat you when you arrive. Otherwise we will arrange another appointment.
Yes, just let us know 24 hours in advance if you can’t make it. The best way to let us know is by phone so that we can find a new appointment for you.
The scan itself takes just a few minutes. But we set aside half an hour for each appointment in order to discuss all the details and the initial prognosis with you.
We use state-of-the-art 3D scanners for the impression. Using special orthodontics software, we use a 3D model to show you how your teeth will look after completing the treatment. The software calculates the shape of your aligners in very small steps. We then produce the aligners using a special plastic. All of our aligners are produced through precise manual craftsmanship in Switzerland.
Our scan is completely painless and odour-free and takes just a few minutes. We scan your teeth and part of your gums.
The treatment can only be started after a preliminary examination and confirmation by the dentists.
No, there are no health risks associated with our aligners.
As you can take out your aligner at any time, maintaining good dental hygiene is no problem either.
Crowns and missing teeth are no problem. With implants, however, special provisions must be arranged. Our dentists will examine your teeth and give you feedback. But please let us know before your first appointment if you have a crown or bridge or if you have had some other type of treatment in the past.
Our clear aligners are suitable for the correction of crooked teeth in adults aged 18 or older. Exception: with a declaration of consent from legal guardians, treatment is allowed for people aged 16 or older. We treat slight to moderately severe corrections. Gaps, crooked teeth and twisted or crowded teeth can be corrected with the treatment. Our dentists will determine whether your tooth position is suitable for correction after your first free appointment and scan.
Yes, bestsmile only treats people aged 18 and older. The exception is that treatment is possible for people aged 16 or older if a written declaration of consent is provided by a legal guardian before the scan appointment. Our clear aligners are less suitable for younger teenagers and children because tooth and jaw development is still ongoing.
Our trained team of dentists can only make a final decision concerning suitability for aligner therapy after the first FREE appointment and scan.
Our clear aligners are made of medical PET (polyethylene terephthalate)/PU (polyurethane). They contain no BPA or other plasticisers.
The biggest difference between clear aligners from bestsmile and fixed braces is that our aligners are practically invisible. The aligners are made of clear plastic and are therefore more comfortable to wear than fixed braces.
Clear aligners don’t affect your daily life because they can be taken out at any time. This also makes dental hygiene much easier than with fixed braces.
We care about the environment: after completing your treatment, you can recycle your aligners with bestsmile.
