Depending on the extras that you may need, such as attachments, wire retainer or Night Guard, there may be additional costs. Usually, health insurance does not cover treatment costs for Aligners. Compulsory health insurance in Switzerland usually only covers treatments that are necessary due to serious health issues. (See the general provisions of dental treatments of the Federal Office of Public Health FOPH, available in German, French and Italian). Depending on the insurance and the case, your insurance may cover part of your treatment. Please check directly with your health insurance company. They will inform you about the possibility of reimbursement.

No. Usually, the cost of treatment with conventional braces is much higher than with clear aligners. Generally speaking, a family dentist charges all dental services separately: you are charged new costs per appointment. At bestsmile, all check-up appointments for your Aligners are included in the price. You will only have to pay the amount that we discuss at the beginning of your treatment. No additional costs.

Our Aligners are also available as clear Night Aligners. Unlike conventional Aligners, Night Aligners need to be worn just for 8–10 hours at night. Both bestsmile clear Aligners and Night Aligners are priced the same.

Once you have successfully completed your Aligner treatment, the Relax Retainer optimally protects your teeth in the long term. The mouth guard for teeth grinding protects against tooth wear, relieving your jaw muscles and your temporomandibular joint. You may also use the grinding guard as a retainer after your Aligner treatment. The Relax Retainer costs CHF 500 and is only available in combination with an Aligner or Veneer treatment.
