Aligners for teenagers – a beautiful smile with transparent braces.
swiss made
From CHF 130/ mo.
Transparent braces for teenagers can correct malocclusions or incorrectly positioned jaws – discreetly and efficiently.
When the front teeth and molars in the upper and lower jaw come into contact with each other during biting, it can cause both aesthetic and health issues.
The upper jaw protrudes significantly in front of the lower jaw, which is colloquially known as buck teeth.
If the teeth are not even or not next to each other in a straight row, the row of teeth looks disharmonious and is referred to as crooked or tipped teeth.
A large space between the teeth is clearly visible and is often perceived as a beauty flaw.
The distance between the upper and lower incisors is too wide, creating too large and visible a gap between the lower and upper jaw.
The deep bite often occurs in childhood. In this malocclusion, the upper incisors protrude too far downwards and cover the incisors of the lower jaw.
If there is too little space in the jaw for the teeth or if they are too big or too wide in relation to the jaw, they can overlap and lead to crowding.
In children and teenagers, crossbite is one of the most common dental malocclusions and it consists in the teeth not biting together properly.

Teenagers can get bestsmile Teens Aligners starting at age of 11. In order to be eligible for bestsmile Teens Aligners, the front 12 teeth in both jaws must be visible in the mouth. However, some baby teeth may remain in the mouth for longer. We would be happy to advise you on site whether treatment is possible. Treatment with bestsmile Teens Aligners is not possible with baby teeth.
Are there cases where aligners don't work for teenagers?
With baby teeth or in the transition phase to permanent teeth, treatment with bestsmile Teens Aligners is not possible. Moreover, if there are significant deviations in the bones, alternative orthodontic methods may need to be used.

An Aligner treatment consists of several splints that move the patient's teeth into the desired position step by step. To achieve the desired results, the Aligners should be worn at least for 22 hours a day.
Some tooth movements may require small orthodontic aids. The so-called auxiliaries help to achieve an ideal end result.
Attachments are small tooth-coloured plastic elements that are fixed to the teeth so that the Aligners can better exert pressure on the teeth. After treatment, they are removed painlessly, easily and without leaving any residue.
The small buttons, which are connected with elastics, additionally support tooth movement. The elastics are either attached directly to the splints or small buttons are glued to the non-visible part of the teeth. These aids are necessary especially when the position of the bite should be improved.
The elasticity of the elastics decreases over time and should therefore be replaced regularly. With the help of small plastic hooks, this is simple and easy.
Bite ramps are small pyramid-shaped structures made of plastic that are placed onto the back side of the teeth in the upper or lower jaw to reduce contact between the upper and lower teeth. For certain tooth movements, bite ramps are the most effective solution.
