Enamel

The enamel is the outer layer of the teeth in the area of the tooth crown.

Although tooth enamel is the hardest tissue in the human body, it is acid-soluble, cannot regenerate and has no nerves. For this reason, initial caries do not cause pain. To protect the enamel from acids, a proper daily oral hygiene and a low-sugar diet are important.
